“Caravan Travels & Tours (a.k.a Caravan Travels) is an indigenous travel management agency operating out of Leh-Ladakh., with business associates at New Delhi & Srinagar. Its promoter and head is a tourism professional from the region, who has been associated with the tourism industry for about 30 years and is widely travelled in India, the UK & Europe. He leads a team of skilled local personnel with hands-on experience in hosting visitors from all over the world and providing tailor-made travel solutions over the years.

Caravan Travels is approved by Department of Tourism, Government of Jammu & Kashmir and registered under the J&K Registration of Tourist Trade Act. It is a Member of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) & of All Ladakh Tour Operators Association (ALTOA).

Our Services - We offer a range of travel services including customized tour packages, trekking / rafting and other adventure programs, jeep safaris, cultural & theme events etc. We also serve as the handling agency and local service provider for several travel agencies and tour operators for their operations in the region. Following is a brief account of our services and activities:

Tour Packages for the domestic tourists - We organize all–inclusive tour packages specially designed for the domestic tourists, keeping in view their preference for visiting places of geographical attraction, some cultural heritage, locations featuring in popular Hindi cinema, and unique natural sites of the region. These packages are exclusively designed for couples, families or small cohesive groups of friends or colleagues who enjoy traveling together and sharing the services among themselves, and not with unknown or disparate people.

Tours for in-bound visitors - We design and conduct incentive tour packages for the inbound visitors with special focus on the cultural attractions and adventure content of the region. Through these tours we facilitate the visitors to experience the unique natural environment and the living heritage of the ancient monasteries and monuments, and the unique life-style of the local people as seen in the villages. The packages cover the whole range of services and logistics such as speedy and hassle-free transfers, well planned tours in comfortable vehicles, services of efficient local guides or tour escorts, decent accommodation & exclusive transport service, all requisite permits, visits to local homes, holding of local cultural programs and sampling of local cuisines, and etc.

Adventure Tours - We organize adventure tour packages with complete arrangement & logistic support for FIT’s and small, cohesive groups in selected sectors of the Ladakh Himalayas. These include trekking along selected routes, rafting on the Indus & Zanskar Rivers for amateurs and non-professional clients and Jeep safaris across the rugged landscape. The trekking package include all ground arrangements like transfers, pre-trek orientation and post trek cultural tours, complete logistics for the trek such as camping, guides & service staff, provisions, permits etc. The rafting packages include arrangements for rafting by professional river runners, besides accommodation, transport, meals, permits and sightseeing.

Ground support for tour promoters / operators - We are fully geared and well placed to provide complete ground arrangement and logistics for FIT’s and group tours being promoted / operated by tour operators from within India or abroad. In this, we provide the entire range of services required for smooth conduct of the tours as per the customized itineraries. These include decent hotel accommodation, chauffeur driven vehicles, professional guide service, transfers from or to neighbouring destinations like Srinagar & Manali. For the overseas tour promoters to Ladakh and the Himalayas we can provide complete transfer service and transit tours at Delhi through our associate office / agency.

Tour / Travel Consultancy - Being local professionals with years of hands-on experience in the field from and with our first-hand regional knowledge and its cultural ethos, we are uniquely qualified for providing expert consultancy in tour planning and execution across Ladakh & Kashmir. We can advise on designing innovative itineraries and suggest a wide range of tour programs, whether you are passionate about culture, adventure or wildlife. Conferences & Event Management - We provide complete arrangements for holding small conferences of corporate and social organizations. Our services include booking of the conference venue and providing related logistic support, accommodation and transport for the delegates, pre-conference orientation tours and post conference sightseeing programs for the delegates, holding cultural and musical programs / evenings, etc. We are also fully geared to handle all ground arrangements for other events such as film shoots of various kinds - feature films, advertising films, documentaries etc.

Accommodation bookings - As a travel management agency we offer full guest services including accommodation booking, transport, guided sightseeing/tours, innerline permits, cultural programs etc. We are associated with several kinds of accommodation facilities such as hotels, camps, guest houses etc. across the Ladakh region and deluxe Houseboats in Kashmir, and offer our services for booing of these accommodations for FIT’s & groups on attractive terms.
