| Day-1 |
Arrival Leh: Arrive Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drink breakfast at the hotel, take complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). In the late afternoon visit the city centre for leisurely walks in the main markets for general orientation. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. |

Vist Shey Palace / Thiksey & Hemis: The morning is at leisure for further acclimatization to the high altitude and rarefied air of Ladakh. After leisurely breakfast, proceed on a sightseeing & cultural tour of Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery & Stok Palace Museum. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. |
| Day-3 |
Leh -Lamayuru: In the morning drive to Lamayuru (127 kms), enroute visiting the 15th century Likir Monastery and then Bazgo Castle (15th century capital of Lower Ladakhi). At Lamayuru check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore Lamayuru village and the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery which is one of the oldest in Ladakh. Overnight in hotel / camp. |
| Day-4 |
Lamayuru - Wanla (3-4 hours): After breakfast, set off on the day's trek. The trail follows a stream flowing down by the villages for some distance and then climbs to the small pass of Prinkiti La (3750m). From here descend gradually to the small village of Shila, from where it's a short distance to Wanla (3250m) where we set up camp near the village. Spend the afternoon exploring the village and the ancient monastery of Wanla, which is an important heritage site of Ladakh. |

Wanla - Tar La Base (4200 mtrs.) 8 hours: From Wanla, it's a long day of trekking along a dusty trail leading first to Phanjila pass (3410 M) and then pass through the scattered village of Ursi to reach the base of Tar La. Overnight in tents here. |
| Day-6 |
Tar La Base -Tar La (5250 m)- Tar village: About 7 hours: The trail is well marked though difficult, with several ups and downs before ascending Tar La. The descend from the pass to Tar village is over boulders and needs to be carefully negotiated. Overnight in camp at Tar village. |
| Day-7 |
Tar - Mang Gyu (5 hrs): The trek from Tar village to Mangyu runs along the mountainside and up a small pass before descending to the village. Mangyu was the seat of one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries of Rinchen Zangpo's period, now a heap of ruins. Camp near the village. |
| Day-8 |
Mang Gyu - Alchi - Leh (2 hrs): The trail follows a narrow valley and takes about two hours to cross into the Indus valley at Gera village. From here follow the left bank hillside to reach Alchi, seat of the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh- a UNESCO listed heritage site. Visit this important monastery before driving to Leh by the waiting taxis. Reach Leh in about 2 hours. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. |
| Day-9 |
At Leh: Leisurely day at Leh for rest after the long trek. In the afternoon, you may like to visit Leh Palace & Shanti Stupa & then explore the city centre and the markets at your own pace for picking up some souvenirs to take back home. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. |

Departure: Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home |
